6 years ago, Jonathan and Derrick (JD) met at Grambling State University. Like most black gay men, they have battled societal normality that led to self-hate, fear, spiritual confrontation, and familial tensions. JD is a testament that relationships require hard work, and love does truly win! From preaching to combatting racism; from graduate school and now law school: the two have been together through it all, showing the world that love is growth and sacrifice.

One Love.

It was over two years in the making and over three months in planning, but at last the engagement day finally came and Joshua accept Antwain’s proposal by saying YES!

Congratulations to both of you and can’t wait to witness your wedding next year.
