Due to the lack of sensitivity that some healthcare providers, family members and even religious leaders in our communities render to many of our situations, and because of the fear of voicing our feelings due to the suppression of our sexual identities, and even dual identities, being black and gay, or even lesbian and trans, many of us indulge in reckless behavior and habits.
