6 years ago, Jonathan and Derrick (JD) met at Grambling State University. Like most black gay men, they have battled societal normality that led to self-hate, fear, spiritual confrontation, and familial tensions. JD is a testament that relationships require hard work, and love does truly win! From preaching to combatting racism; from graduate school and now law school: the two have been together through it all, showing the world that love is growth and sacrifice.

One Love.

Simeon Simms, Amor Wilson, Djai Starr, Phil Samba, and Cartell Lowe-Vidal have had to deal with their fair share of racism, and homophobia, growing up black as well as growing up gay - racism that has been committed by members of the gay community.
